Starting your own business is not easy, by any means. However, if you’re anything like me, you have an entrepreneurial spirit and you would rather invest your time and money into your own company than into someone else’s. I have always worked for myself. I can’t imagine life any other way. I have had many businesses, such as painting, screen printing and embroidery, and asphalt. When I started all of these companies, I was not an expert. What I did have was a lot of drive, passion, and determination. Especially, in my younger days, the pressure was on me to provide for my family. So with that pressure, I kept on. I wanted to be a good provider. I have had a lot of success over the years. My greatest success has been in the custom screen printing business. Who knew that I could make a great living by selling custom printed t-shirts and embroidered caps or shirts? There is a good living to be had if you put in the time and money. I didn’t know anything about screen printing or embroidery when I started out, but I learned. I asked a lot of questions from my mentors in Kansas City, MO and also now almost 20 years later, experience has taught me the industry and what it takes to produce a good quality product at a fair market value. This industry will not be replaced as long as there are individuals and companies buying custom screen printing and embroidered garments and textiles.
